The Creative Ministries Department

The vision of the Creative Ministries Department is to build an army of people who have been gifted by God with musical and artistic abilities that can be used corporately to build the Kingdom of God in this ministry. We are focused on ministering to people’s needs and equipping believers through a lifestyle of worship.

The mission of the Creative Ministries Department is to first and foremost WORSHIP!!  To worship Him in spirit and in truth is our desire and our purpose for that’s why we were created.  No matter how we feel or what our circumstance is, we want to give God the highest praise!!

The Creative Ministries Department consists of the Sanctuary Choir, Praise Team, Praise Band, Media (including Sound, Video, Projection & Web-site), Children’s Choir, Drama, and other specialized ministries.  For more information about the Music and Media Ministry, please contact Pastors Kevin or Amy Mooring.

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir, directed by Amy Mooring,  is filled with talented and anointed singers who normally sing during the Sunday morning service.  No audition is required however a ministry application along with an interview must be scheduled and completed by the Worship Pastors.  The regular practice time for the choir is on Sunday afternoons at 5:30PM.  Alternate times may be required when working on special events. Some special events include our Easter Production, Hanging of the Greens, Christmas Musicals, Homecoming, In-house singings, etc.  The choir performs a vast variety of music from Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and Christ Church Choir to Southern gospel.

Praise Team

The praise team always brings their passion for singing and desire to lead others into a time of worship.  The praise team is an auditioned group chosen by the Worship Pastors.  They help lead worship during the Sunday morning and evening services.  The praise and worship music is normally “blended” with some of the new contemporary music along with some of the older “campmeeting style” songs and hymns.  The praise team normally practices on Sunday afternoons at 5:00PM .

Praise Band

The praise band consists of individuals that have a heart for God and desire to worship God through their instruments.  The present instrumentation includes piano, keyboard, rhythm guitars, lead guitars, bass, and drums. If you play an instrument and would like to become involved, contact the Worship Pastors for more information.  There are several ministries that use and need musicians.

The praise band normally practices on Sunday afternoons at 4:30PM.

Children’s Choir

The Children’s choir performs at various times.  They participate in the annual Children’s program every year presented by the Children’s Department.  They also provide special music during the Sunday services when scheduled.

Media

The media team is made up volunteers that help provide sound, video, projection, lighting, and web site maintenance for the church.  The times of opportunity for service in this area include regular worship services (Sunday morning and Wednesday night), Thursday night youth service and other special events when scheduled.  If you are interested in serving in this area of ministry, please contact David Letchworth.

The church’s website is a resource to help provide information to visitors desiring information about our church and it also provides information to our regular attendees.  If you are interested in helping in this area or have information for the website, please contact Ms Sue Phillips.

Drama

Drama is used in several ways to minister to the church congregation. It may involve acting or created movement.  We use drama during some of our special events like our annual Easter production, Christmas programs and Dinner Theater.  We also occasionally use drama for short skits as sermon illustrations during the Sunday worship service.  The youth are also involved with drama.  The teenagers have a group that is a part of B3 Student Ministries under the direction Ms Christy Klemiuk and they perform on special occasions.
